Welcome!

I am Sean Taylor, the author. I am currently working through revisions for my first novel: Tide, the first of a trilogy. I plan to publish independently, and I built this website to facilitate every part of being an independent novelist.

I'm extremely excited to share this book with the world. Sharing it with my alpha readers has been gratifying and galvanizing, and I can't wait for the finished product to be out in the world. Dreams can come true if you chase them, and though there's still chasing to do, I already feel like I've caught a whole summer thunderstorm in a bottle.

Tide: A novel

Tide is a work of speculative fiction. Much of it is grounded in reality - Europa really does have its own ocean. In fact, in October 2024, NASA launched the Europa Clipper to find out more about Jupiter's most interesting moon.

Other parts of Tide blur the limits and realities of science in service of telling a story. Even in a setting that begins with the celestial body equivalent of a car accident, the people are the most important part of the story. To me, these characters are loveable, hateable, real - and I hope they become real to you, too.
